ALCOHOL
USE
Alcohol has become an increasingly destructive problem for millions of Americans. Unlike other substances, alcohol consumption isn't just accepted--it's celebrated. We're actually encouraged to have an unhealthy relationship with alcohol. Unfortunately, many folks find that they can't decrease their drinking, even when they want to.
You Probably Don't Know Where To Start
If you're reading this, chances are you know you may have a problem with alcohol. Maybe you've recognized this yourself, or maybe your loved ones have voiced concern. Most folks seeking treatment for alcohol use share a similar sentiment: they don't know where to start. There are so many recovery options at your disposal these days that the path forward can see confusing. The truth is, tackling an alcohol problem is not a one size fits all model. Together, we can craft a plan that works for you.
"Alcohol temporarily lift the terrible burden of self-consciousness."
Already Sober?
That's incredible. You should feel very proud of yourself. Many folks in recovery feel that they still have underlying issues they need to address. Psychotherapy can be an incredible compliment to your sobriety. After all, therapy and 12-step recovery are the foundations of almost every alcohol and substance use treatment program out there.
It's Not Just A Drinking Problem
40% of folks who over consume alcohol also suffer from an anxiety disorder.
Therapy for alcohol use typically breaks into two paths: harm reduction (decreasing your consumption) and abstinence (no drinking at all). Remember: you don't have to choose your path today. In fact, you never want to abruptly stop drinking without seeking medical attention. We'll start with a clinical assessment. We want to understand your relationship with alcohol before we pick a treatment strategy.
